analogue detector

Business Started

The company was founded by the current Managing Director, Stephen Blackler. After 7 years in the South African access control and parking market, Stephen returned to the UK distributing analogue vehicle detectors.

 











 

1992

digital detector

Limited Company

Nortech Control Systems becomes a Limited company.

The vehicle detectors develop into digital technology.

 











 

1995

Nortech building

Llantarnam Park & Manufacturing

Due to increasing demand, Nortech moves to Llantarnam Business Park in Cwmbran.

The larger premises allows Nortech to expand and start developing their own range of access control solutions. This included the CRC100 range of controllers which is still largely popular today.

 











 

2003

noretech accreditations

Accreditations

Nortech achieves both the ISO9001:2001 quality standard and the Investors In People accreditation.

The Nortime system is launched into the market.

 











 

2006

company reorganisation into two divisions

Re-Organisation

Nortech is re-organised into 2 divisions, namely Access Control and Parking & Automation.

New technologies are introduced including TCP-IP.

 











 

2007

 

JTI aquisition

New Reader Division

Nortech acquires JTI Limited and takes over the development and manufacture of proximity readers. Nortech enhances the product range and significantly increases the capabilities of the products.
