Norpass3 Provides Parking Management Solution at Belfast Royal Victoria Hospital

The new Norpass3 update has been installed at the Belfast Royal Victoria Hospital car park by Stanley Security Services. The car park operator, Car Park Services (CPS), uses the system to manage 6 car parks that provide staff parking.

The staff shift rotations at the hospital create huge tidal flows of traffic throughout the day. Staff members pay to park their cars during their normal shifts. Norpass3 is used to manage the entire administration process. All car park usage and individual parking durations are monitored and reported using special report templates. This allows Car Park Services (CPS) to ensure that people are not being over or undercharged for parking, and to prevent people from abusing their parking privileges in this city centre hospital.

Up to 5 members of staff are simultaneously entering data and running reports. The system itself is monitoring between 3000 and 4000 events daily, which means that the size of the database grows rapidly. However, the use of an SQL server database together with the new reporting package makes reports available almost instantly.
