Vehicle Monitoring and Guidance
This group of products provides methods of counting vehicles entering or leaving a car park or depot and keeping track of available spaces, usage, etc. Simple standalone systems can support up to four individual counts while the NorParc Level Counting and Guidance System offers real-time on-screen information feedback, alarms and report generation. It can manage both small, single level car parks and large multi-storey car parks with signs showing available space on each level.
Automatic Vehicle Identification
Nortech's AVI products automatically identify vehicles as they pass through monitoring points. In combination with our access control products, they can be used to validate vehicles as they approach a vehicle barrier at the entrance or exit of a controlled area. The vehicles carry RF tags that are detected by special readers at the side of the road. Once detected, a vehicles movements can be recorded and permission to proceed may be granted or denied.

Inductive Loop Vehicle Detectors
Nortech is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of inductive loop vehicle detectors. These extremely robust detectors can identify the presence of a vehicle over a wire loop buried under the road surface and signal it’s presence to a control device. The detectors can be used for many applications including; safety, barrier control (free entry or exit), device arming (ensuring that a vehicle is present before a device operates – ticket issuer, for example) and vehicle counting.
