Control access for groups of users sharing the same parking facility
A single CPC204 Shared Occupancy Controller can provide full access control to a parking facility that is shared by up to four independent user groups. As well as validating user credentials, it will monitor usage and prevent each user group from exceeding its allocated number of parking spaces.
The CRC202 Shared Occupancy Controller can be used to control access to a parking facility by a single group of users, preventing over occupancy of the facility. It can also be used to manage the sharing of a facility by two user groups.
Both Shared Occupancy Controllers provide a comprehensive range of Access Control functions such as restricting parking to certain times of the day, preventing the abuse of pass cards (pass back), and supporting visitor management using group specific PIN codes.

The CPC202 and CPC204 Shared Occupancy Controllers are essential for commercial office parks, shopping centres, and mixed-use developments where multiple businesses share common parking infrastructure. These intelligent controllers enable property managers to allocate specific parking quotas to each tenant while maintaining fair access and preventing disputes over space availability.
In practice, these controllers excel in corporate campus environments where different companies occupy the same building complex, hospital car parks with designated areas for staff and visitors, and retail parks where individual stores require guaranteed parking allocations. The system prevents any single user group from monopolizing shared resources while providing real-time visibility into space utilization across all designated zones.
The CPC204 supports up to 4 independent user groups, while the CPC202 supports 1 or 2 user groups. Both have identical card capacity (65,000 sequential or 8,000 random) and feature sets, so selection depends on how many tenant groups need separate parking allocations.
Yes, both controllers feature an RS485 VMS Control interface capable of driving up to 4 message signs simultaneously, each displaying different count values for their respective user groups.
The controllers support 2 x 5-wire reader interfaces accepting both Clock & Data (ABA Track 2) and Wiegand formats, ensuring compatibility with most proximity and smart card readers on the market.
Each user group has a defined space allocation limit. The controller monitors entry/exit events and denies access to users whose group has reached capacity, automatically reopening access when spaces become available.
The system supports 8 visitor PINs with individual access rights and group assignment, allowing temporary access for guests while maintaining accurate occupancy counts for each user group.
