Llantarnam Park & Manufacturing

Due to increasing demand, Nortech moves to Llantarnam Business Park in Cwmbran.

The larger premises allow Nortech to expand and start developing their own range of access control solutions. This includes the CRC100 controllers, which are still popular today.

Nortech achieves both the ISO9001:2001 quality certificate and the Investors In People accreditation. Also, the Nortime system is launched into the market.

Nortech is re-organised into 2 divisions, Access Control and Parking & Automation. New technologies are introduced including TCP-IP.

New Reader Division

Nortech acquires JTI Limited and takes over the development and manufacture of proximity readers. Nortech enhances the product range and significantly increases their products’ capabilities.

Nortech House – Relocation to Premises

The continued growth of the business requires a move to larger premises.

Close to the old premises, the new self-contained unit is on its own landscaped plot. The building is fitted out to support growth well into the future with a large manufacturing unit and offices for development, support, sales and admin staff. There is also a dedicated training and demonstration room. Also, the site provides ample parking for staff and visitors.
