The FeeMaster Smart parking management system provides a simple and cost-effective way of managing car parking access with turnstiles and controlling access validity periods using Mifare smart cards to hold access rights and validity time data. This avoids the need for expensive cabling between components.

The FeeMaster Smart attendant console is a compact, elegant and easy-to-install device that reads barcode tickets issued at the entry station, calculates the fees payable based on pre-programmed tariff details, and encodes reusable Mifare access control cards with validity data. If necessary, the console can print customer receipts and/or barcode exit tokens. It is also able to control a till draw and send a control signal to a vehicle barrier or turnstile.

The console may also be connected to a PC so that transaction records can be analysed and additional tariff management features may be used.

The FeeMaster Smart Entry Station provides professional vehicle arrival registration at hotel car parks, hospital visitor areas, retail parks and leisure facilities. Positioned at car park entrances, this roadside pedestal automatically dispenses date/time-stamped tickets when vehicles arrive, creating an accurate record of entry that forms the basis for parking fee calculation. The integrated loop detector prevents ticket waste by ensuring dispensing only occurs when a vehicle is actually present.

Hotels and conference centres particularly benefit from the grace period feature, which allows charge-free exit for quick drop-offs or visitors who cannot find a space. Staff and regular visitors bypass the ticket system entirely using the built-in smart card reader for seamless entry. The robust steel enclosure with integrated heater ensures reliable operation in all weather conditions, while optional intercom connectivity allows remote assistance for drivers experiencing difficulties.

Frequently Asked Questions

What information is printed on the entry ticket?

Tickets are printed with a barcode containing site code, station ID, serial number, time/date of issue, and grace period data. You can optionally add your company logo and custom text such as 'Present this ticket at reception'.

How does the smart card reader work at the entry station?

Staff and authorised regular visitors can present their Mifare smart card instead of taking a ticket. The reader validates the card and triggers the barrier to open, allowing seamless entry without ticket collection.

What happens if the ticket paper runs low?

The entry station has a low paper alarm output that can be monitored remotely. Optional intercom connectivity allows staff to be alerted when paper needs replacing.

Can the entry station be used with any barrier?

Yes, the station provides voltage-free relay contacts (30V DC, 2A) that are compatible with most traffic barriers. The relay triggers automatically when a ticket is taken or a valid smart card is presented.

What size paper rolls does it use?

The entry station uses 80mm wide thermal paper rolls with a maximum outer diameter of 150mm. Paper thickness should be between 65-75 microns for optimal print quality.
