The TD236 enhanced traffic detector has been designed using the latest technology in order to meet the requirements of a vast number of applications in terms of operating conditions.

The primary function of the traffic detector is to detect vehicle presence by means of an inductance change caused by the vehicle passing over a wire loop buried under the road surface.

The detector has been designed for ease of installation and convenience. Its modes of operation are selected by switches on the front of the unit. The switches also allow for different loop frequency settings and sensitivity settings.

The traffic detector oscillator is multiplexed to eliminate any possibility of crosstalk between the loops connected to the detector.

The TD236 Enhanced traffic detector provides visual outputs on the front of the enclosure and relay change-over contacts are connected at the rear.
