Industrial-Grade Long-Range Reader for Logistics and High-Speed Transportation
The uPASS Target is an industrial-strength UHF reader built for demanding environments where vehicles, rolling stock, and heavy equipment require reliable identification. Rail yards, bus depots, logistics centres, and automated truck operations depend on its robust aluminium construction and 10-metre read range to monitor traffic flow and control site access.
Unlike lighter-duty readers, the uPASS Target features PoE+ support for simplified installation, an optional external antenna for bi-directional lane coverage, and an adjustable read range to prevent cross-reads in complex multi-lane configurations. Its plug-and-play setup with industry-standard interfaces enables rapid deployment into existing traffic management and access control systems.
Industrial Build
Aluminium chassis withstands the vibration, dust, and harsh conditions of logistics and rail environments.
PoE+ Support
IEEE 802.3at Power over Ethernet eliminates separate power runs to remote installation locations.
External Antenna
Optional antenna expands coverage for bi-directional detection or challenging read geometries.
Adjustable Range
On-site configurable read distance prevents cross-reads between adjacent lanes or loading bays.
High-speed transportation, rail yards, bus depots, car park facilities, internal logistics operations, industrial sites, and automated truck activities requiring reliable long-range identification.
Yes, it is PoE+ PSE IEEE 802.3at compliant, allowing both power and data over a single Ethernet cable for simplified installation.
The external antenna expands the reading scope cost-effectively and enables bi-directional detection for monitoring both vehicle entry and exit lanes from a single reader.
RS422/RS485, Ethernet 10/100Mbps, USB service interface, plus Wiegand and Magstripe data outputs for access control integration.
The uPASS Target features a heavier-duty aluminium construction (3.5kg vs 1kg), PoE+ support, external antenna option, and is designed for industrial environments. The uPASS Go is a lighter, more compact solution optimised for standard car park installations.
