'Beyond Proximity'

Based on battery-free passive UHF technology, the uPASS Go reader provides a cost-effective solution for convenient vehicle identification at ranges up to 10 metres for vehicle access.

PRODUCT FEATURES & BENEFITS

The uPASS Go is a UHF RFID reader for long-range vehicle identification up to 10 metres using passive UHF technology.

The reader can be installed on an entry pedestal or wall near the barrier in any vehicle gate environment. When a passive UHF tag is in line of sight, the vehicle will be identified automatically without the driver needing to present a card.

The reader complies with ISO18000-6C and EPC Gen 2 directive, enabling seamless integration with existing or new access control and parking systems.

benefits

  • Automatic vehicle identification at distances up to 10 metres with passive UHF tags
  • Cost-efficient solution ideal for car parks, gated communities and staff parking areas
  • Circular antenna polarisation makes tag orientation irrelevant for driver convenience
  • Multiple communication interfaces (OSDP, RS485, Ethernet, Wiegand, clock & data) for easy integration
  • Slim, weather-resistant housing (IP66) designed for harsh outdoor environments
  • Easy installation and maintenance with convenient service hatch access to interfaces

Cost-Effective Hands-Free Vehicle Access for Car Parks and Gated Communities

The uPASS Go transforms vehicle entry points into seamless, hands-free experiences using passive UHF technology. Designed for car parks, gated residential communities, and staff parking areas, this compact reader identifies vehicles at distances up to 10 metres—eliminating the need for drivers to stop and present cards at barriers.

With its slim profile and weather-resistant IP66 housing, the uPASS Go integrates discreetly into any gate environment. The circular antenna polarisation ensures reliable reads regardless of windscreen tag orientation, while multiple communication interfaces including OSDP v2 and Ethernet enable straightforward integration with existing access control infrastructure.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the maximum read range of the uPASS Go? Frequently Asked Questions

Up to 10 metres with UHF Windscreen Tags. Actual range depends on tag type, installation height, and environmental factors.

What tag types are compatible with the uPASS Go? Frequently Asked Questions

The reader supports EPC Gen 2 passive UHF tags including windscreen tags, exterior tags for headlight mounting, heavy-duty tags for metal surfaces, and dual-technology ISO cards combining UHF with MIFARE, LEGIC, or HID credentials.

Can the uPASS Go integrate with existing access control systems? Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, it supports Wiegand, RS485, Ethernet, and OSDP v2 protocols. Existing proximity Wiegand installations can be upgraded without additional wiring.

Is Power over Ethernet supported? Frequently Asked Questions

The uPASS Go requires a separate 12-24VDC power supply. For PoE capability, consider the uPASS Target which supports PoE+ IEEE 802.3at.

What mounting options are available? Frequently Asked Questions

Wall mounting hardware is included. Optional Mount Set Extension enables angled mounting on walls or ceilings, and pole mounting kits are available separately.
