NCT100 Standalone Counter Module
NCT100
'Versatile Standalone Counting'
A standalone four-channel counting system providing up to 4 individual counters.
PRODUCT FEATURES & BENEFITS
The NCT100 standalone counter can be combined with one or more Variable Message Signs to provide information of space availability to staff and visitors.
Alarm outputs can be associated with each counter to indicate that the count has reached a predetermined value. These can be used to operate Open/Full signs, traffic lights, barrier controls or other devices that require an input based on a count value.
benefits
- Simple, cost effective means of providing count management for a wide range of applications and any size of car park
- Count values are stored in non-volatile memory to guard against temporary loss of power
- Extremely flexible - a single module can provide up to 4 counters or one counter with up to 4 increment and 4 decrement inputs
- Powerful VMS driving capability. Can provide up to 4 count outputs

Autonomous Vehicle and People Counting for Independent Parking Zones
The NCT100 provides a complete standalone counting solution for sites that need reliable space management without the complexity of networked software. Ideal for single-level car parks, private parking areas, loading bays, warehouse yards and smaller facilities, the compact module mounts easily in roadside cabinets or equipment enclosures and operates autonomously once configured.
With four independent counting channels, a single NCT100 can monitor multiple entry and exit points or track occupancy across several discrete areas simultaneously. The built-in keypad and LCD display allow direct programming without requiring a PC, while alarm outputs trigger Space/Full signs, traffic lights or barrier controls when counts reach preset thresholds. Count values are stored in non-volatile memory, ensuring continuity through power interruptions, and the RS485 port drives up to four variable message signs to keep drivers informed of availability.
Standalone
Operates autonomously without PC connection—configure directly via built-in keypad and LCD.
4-Channel
Four independent counters support multiple zones or complex entry/exit configurations.
Alarm Outputs
Two relay outputs plus four pre-alarm outputs trigger signs, lights or barriers automatically.
Dual Voltage
Operates on 12-24V DC supply for flexible installation in cabinets and enclosures.
Each of the four counters can record values between -32,500 and +32,500, with the ability to count up or down independently based on configuration.
Yes, the RS485 communications port supports up to 4 individually addressable variable message signs displaying count values or status messages.
Programming is done directly using the 12-button membrane keypad and 2-line LCD display on the front panel—no PC or special software is required.
Count values are stored in non-volatile memory, so counts are preserved through power interruptions and restored when power returns.
Yes, you can set a time when all counters will automatically reset to their predetermined values each day, or trigger a manual reset via the dedicated reset input.
