The Access Control Station provides an elegant access control point for people and vehicles entering or leaving a restricted area. It is specifically designed to provide a card capture facility where single-use cards are used, or where it is necessary to capture expired and/or stolen access cards.
PRODUCT FEATURES & BENEFITS
The access control card validation and capture pedestal is fitted with Nortech’s MRC350-NR01 externally rated card capture reader together with a card hopper for the collection of captured cards. The card capture reader can support a wide range of contactless card types by the integration of an appropriate card reader. The retrieval of access cards can be made through a lockable access door that is separate to the maintenance access door.
Optionally, the pedestal can be fitted with an intercom for which there are several options available.
The pedestal height is ideally suited to normal cars and vans as well as pedestrians. For vehicles with a higher driver position, the pedestal can be mounted on a raised plinth.
The main body of the pedestal can be finished in user specific colours.
There is space within the pedestal for the installation of a third-party access control unit.

The station supports any ISO proximity or smart card technology via the integrated MRC350-NR01 card capture reader. Cards must conform to ISO/IEC7810 ID-1 standard (85.60 × 53.98mm) with thickness between 0.6mm and 1mm. Third-party reader integration enables compatibility with existing credential formats.
The pedestal operates on 240V AC mains supply, with low voltage adaptors included for the card capture reader and other internal components. The integrated heater maintains reliable operation in cold weather conditions.
For vehicles with higher driver positions such as lorries or HGVs, the pedestal can be mounted on a concrete plinth raised 995-1000mm. This positions the card slot at an ergonomic height for commercial vehicle operators while maintaining standard height for cars and pedestrians.
The pedestal supports Aiphone compatible intercom slave units for connection to existing Aiphone master stations, or mounting brackets for Telguard GSM intercoms enabling cellular-based remote communication without wired infrastructure.
